Thimphu Hotels : Thori Resort

Description

Thori meaning heaven in Bhutanese terms was started as a family residence project envisioned by the owner to live a blissful family life close to nature embracing heavenly peace. In the course of setting up the project the owner realized this can be used as a home away from home for the guests seeking peace and solitude in a pristine Himalayan environment.

The residence project is now converted into a resort and aptly named – Thori Resort. The resort with its highly prioritized eco sensitive practises and sustainability, has its own farmyard where they produce fresh organic vegetables, fruits and herbs thus ensuring that you are served healthy meals comprising fresh produce from their own gardens.

The resort perched on a scenic hillock located merely 10 minutes’ drive from the city centre has 12 spacious and tastefully decorated Wi-fi enabled rooms equipped with all modern amenities and accessories. Each room has a balcony to enjoy breath-taking views of the lush green valleys.

A conference hall with a team of trained support staff having capacity of 50 people is available to hold small corporate retreats and meetings.

Inhouse Restaurant not only caters continental, Chinese, Indian and local cuisines but also prepares packed picnic lunches should you wish to explore nearby tranquil villages and shrines. A bar and café is kept well stocked with local and imported beverages.
