Distances & Driving Time between Places of Tourist Interest
Most of the transport within Bhutan is by surface, and though there are domestic airports in central (Bumthang), eastern (Trashigang) and south-central (Gelephu) parts of the country, but with limited flights and seating capacity. Also, since most of the tourist destinations fall on a lateral route, so entire surface tour program logistically works out reasonably more conveniently. There is no train service in the country. The motorable roads in Bhutan are nicely made, well-maintained, and conveniently connect most of the places. However the mountainous terrain, winding roads and the goal to enjoy the stupendous mountain scenery,  the average driving speed of a vehicle is maintained at about 35 km per hour.
