Valuable artefacts are prohibited to be taken out of the Kingdom of Bhutan as per Article 50-51 of the Movable Cultural Property Act of Bhutan 2005. Taking photographs and filming such antiques are also prohibited. Permission is required from the Department of Culture to export non-valuable ritual objects, arts and crafts products out of the country.
