A family owned and managed establishment, overlooking paddy fields and the farmhouses, Drubhhu is developed on the ruins of an old granary which was built by Zhabdrung Jigme Choegyal more than a hundred years ago. The property has a natural spring believed to be a Drubchhu (healing/miraculous water). 

Located near the tri-junction of Nationality Highways amongst three districts of Thimphu, Punakha & Wangdue, Drubchhu is shaded by giant trees which are believed to be the home of ‘lues’ or ‘nagas’, the serpentine protectors and long-time inhabitants of the area. It has an ever-growing kitchen garden which ensures constant supply of fresh salads for the property.

From Drubchhu, there is an easy walk to Chimi Lhakhang or ‘Fertility temple’, the site where Lam Drukpa Kuenley popularly known as ‘Divine Madman’, a much cherished figure in Bhutanese history, is said to have subdued the demon of Dochula. Also, small town of Missina is walking distance from the resort to explore where there is a thriving vegetable market, quaint shops, local restaurants and bars typical of highways along Bhutan. Being centrally located, Drubchhu is in close proximity to myriad sights and activities of Punakha & Wangduephodrang valleys. 

The establishment offers 27 spacious, well-appointed  rooms in Superior & Deluxe categories featuring Goose down bedding and well equipped with necessary amenities.  

Overlooking the rice fields of Missina village, its Ari restaurant offers sumptuous Bhutanese Indian, Chinese and Continental delicacies. While The Mad Man, cozy bar serves an assortment of local and imported drinks. Located above the property on the roadside Drubchhu café with its spectacular view serves wholesome soups, sandwiches, salads and desserts.
